"I love you too. Whatever happens, I'll love you till the day I die."
He swears, his arm thightening around me. "This is impossible. I can't love you the way I do, but I can't help it. You can't be with me here, but you are."

Shock steals my breath when I look up and meet the clear blue of the most perfect eyes I've ever seen. The eyes I love. "You're alive."

First of all I want to say that the book was wonderful. When I started I thought it will be a boring story, but after that, getting deeper the book started to catch me little by little. Abby looked like an innocent girl at the beginning of the book, but it really surprised me how she was able to manage some sticky situations. Her relationship with Kye was a little bit odd for me and I didn't like the fact that they fell in love with each other so quickly. The book became really interesting when new kind of paranormal things appear such as spirits, demons and dragons. I totally love dragons and that was a blowing thing for me that boosted me to read the book.

That's one of the parts I like it the most. From a simple death in a normal world everything changed. Probably I would have likes the balance between light and dark to be more equal cause Abby left me the impression that she was fading slowly into the darkness. However, having Kye next to her helped her a lot and they got out from the most awful situations. The end was as expected somehow I still loved it. A lot of emotions were sent to me and that's why Descendant is a good book.

My rating:

Nichole Giles was
born in Nevada, and moved with her parents to a number of cities in and around
the West. Writing is her passion, but she also loves to spend time with
her husband and four children, travel to tropical and exotic destinations,
drive in the rain with the convertible top down, and play music at full volume
so she can sing along.
